Designing a Mobile 3D Visual Story Game of Manchester United Club History

Football has a large fan base worldwide, including in Indonesia, where Manchester United is one of the most popular clubs. However, many new supporters judge the club only by its current performance without understanding its historical achievements. This study aims to develop a mobile-based 3D visual story educational game introducing Manchester United’s history through interactive learning. The game was developed using the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC), which includes concept, design, material collecting, assembly, testing, and distribution. Built with Unity 3D and C#, it features three chapters: the 1999 Treble Winner era, the Sir Alex Ferguson era, and the Rúben Amorim era. Each chapter contains visual storytelling, Trophy Room exploration, NPC interactions, quizzes, and mini games. Blackbox testing showed all 15 scenarios were valid. Evaluation by 51 respondents produced a feasibility score of 85.8%, indicating the game is Very Feasible as an educational medium.
