Abstract

PT IFH is a packaging box manufacturing company that faces problems in the maintenance system of the Rapida 106 printing machine, causing increased downtime and decreased machine reliability. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of preventive maintenance schedules and to develop more appropriate maintenance proposals using the Reliability Centered Maintenance II (RCM II) method. The methods used include Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), goodness of fit testing, calculation of Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), Reliability, and Availability. The results show that the suction brake component has the highest Risk Priority Number (RPN) value of 125. The MTBF value obtained is 35,702 seconds and MTTR is 1.96 hours. Reliability increased from 43% to 86% after the proposed preventive maintenance interval was implemented. This study shows that the implementation of RCM II is able to improve machine reliability and reduce the risk of production downtime
