This study examined the relationship between self-regulation and Qur'an memorization ability among students at Utsman Bin Affan Islamic Boarding School, Sidoarjo. Self-regulation refers to the ability to control thoughts, emotions, and behavior to achieve learning goals. Data were collected using a 32-item self-regulation scale based on Zimmerman's theory (behavior, motivation, and metacognition), with a reliability coefficient (Cronbach's Alpha) of 0.754. Qur'an memorization ability was measured through an oral test assessing fluency, tajwid, and fashahah, scored on a scale of 1–5. The findings revealed that students generally demonstrated strong self-regulation and good memorization ability. Statistical analysis showed a positive and significant relationship between self-regulation and Qur'an memorization ability (Sig. = 0.000 < 0.05; r = 0.728). These results indicate that higher self-regulation is associated with better Qur'an memorization performance.
