Implementation of Lean and Green Manufacturing to Minimize Waste in Industrial Machine Spare Part Production

CV Pesona Wijaya Seal Tulangan is a manufacturing company producing industrial machine spare parts. Production activities that still rely on manual operations and conventional machines cause inconsistent cycle times, high non-value added activities, and waste of energy and materials. This study aims to improve productivity through the Lean and Green Manufacturing approach. The methods applied include Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Process Activity Mapping (PAM), and fishbone analysis to identify waste and its root causes. The results show that the highest waste was waiting, reaching 13% of total waste. After implementing improvements such as process capacity balancing, setup standardization, and bottleneck reduction, waiting waste decreased to 7%. Cycle time was successfully reduced from 7,930 seconds to 4,910 seconds or decreased by 38%, while the value added ratio increased from 70% to 75%. These results indicate that Lean and Green Manufacturing effectively improves productivity while reducing energy and material waste.
