Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of Teaching at The Right Level (TaRL) learning based on diagnostic assessment and its impact on the achievement of learning objectives in grade III of elementary school. This research is motivated by differences in student abilities that impact the variation in the level of understanding of learning materials. The study uses a qualitative approach with a case study conducted by SD Muhammadiyah Gempol 1. Data collection was carried out through teacher and student interviews, observation of the learning process, questionnaires, and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that diagnostic assessment helps teachers identify students' initial abilities and design ability-based learning groups. The implementation of Teaching at The Right Level (TaRL) has a positive impact on material understanding, student activity, and learning motivation, and supports the achievement of Learning Objective Achievement Criteria (KKTP).
