Development of GECI (Game Educational Canva Interactive) Media to Improve Mathematical Literacy in Elementary School Students

Abstract

Study aimed to develop an Interactive Canva Educational Game as a mathematics learning medium to improve elementary school students’ mathematical literacy skills. The research employed a Research and Development approach using the ADDIE model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The participants were fourth-grade students of SD Negeri Glanggang I. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, as well as pretest and posttest instruments. The results indicated that the developed media achieved a very valid category from media experts and a valid category from material experts. Teacher and student responses showed that the media was practical and easy to use in the learning process. Furthermore, the results categorized as high, indicating that the media was effective in enhancing students’ mathematical literacy skills. Therefore, the Interactive Canva Educational Game is considered appropriate for use as a mathematics learning medium in elementary schools.
