Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between students’ learning styles and their Social Studies (IPS) learning outcomes in elementary school. This research used a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The subjects were 22 fourth-grade students of SDN Lebo, Sidoarjo, in the 2025/2026 academic year. Data were collected using questionnaires to identify Visual, Auditory, and Kinesthetic (VAK) learning styles and documentation to obtain students’ test scores. The instrument was tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis used descriptive and inferential statistics with SPSS, including the Shapiro–Wilk test and Pearson and Spearman correlations. The results showed no significant relationship between learning styles and learning outcomes, as all significance values were above 0.05. These findings indicate that students’ learning outcomes are influenced not only by learning styles but also by factors such as motivation, interest, teaching strategies, and the learning environment.
