Abstract

This study aims to develop and test the use of AR Puzzle media to improve the social-emotional competencies of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in inclusive elementary schools. This study employs a design-based research (DBR) methodology, which includes the stages of needs analysis, design, development, pilot testing, and reflection, and is supported by a One-Subject Experiment approach using an A-B-A design to observe gradual changes in student behavior. The results indicate that the use of AR Puzzle media effectively enhances students’ participation, engagement, and social-emotional understanding through concrete, interactive, and contextual learning experiences. Thus, AR Puzzle media can serve as an effective and practical educational innovation to help improve the social-emotional competencies of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, while supporting the optimal implementation of inclusive education in elementary schools.
