This study aims to describe the implementation of Qur’anic instruction using the At-Tartil method and to analyze students’ learning difficulties in improving their Qur’an reading skills at the Qur’anic Education Center (TPQ). It uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings show that the At-Tartil method, applied gradually through a volume-based system and supported by both classical and individual teaching, helps students understand articulation points, apply tajwid rules, and improve reading fluency. However, challenges remain, including pronunciation errors, inconsistent application of tajwid, and limited fluency at different levels. Despite these difficulties, continuous practice and direct teacher guidance significantly reduce learning obstacles. The learning process becomes more structured, focused, and conducive, while also enhancing student engagement and confidence. Overall, the At-Tartil method is proven effective as a systematic strategy to gradually improve Qur’anic reading skills in the TPQ learning environment.
