A steel frame manufacturing company experienced an unbalanced production line characterized by unequal workload distribution among workstations, resulting in high idle time and low efficiency. This study aims to analyze and improve line balancing performance in the steel rafter fabrication process. The Ranked Positional Weight (RPW) method was applied to redistribute work elements based on positional weight, and the results were validated using ARENA simulation to evaluate system performance. The findings show that the number of workstations was reduced from 7 to 3, increasing line efficiency from 40.29% to 94%, decreasing balance delay from 59.71% to 6%, and significantly reducing the smoothness index. ARENA Simulation results indicate that although output remained constant, resource utilization became more balanced, demonstrating that the proposed method effectively improves production line efficiency and stability.
