Background: Preterm Premature Rupture of Membranes (PPROM) increases maternal and neonatal morbidity and may affect the mode of delivery. The interval between membrane rupture and delivery is an important contributing factor. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between PPROM interval and mode of delivery.
Methods: A quantitative cross-sectional study was conducted among 157 women with PPROM at RSUD R.T. Notopuro. Using the Slovin formula and simple random sampling, 113 respondents were selected. Data were analyzed using the Chi-Square test.
Results: A significant relationship was found between PPROM interval and mode of delivery (p ≤ 0.05).
Conclusion: A PPROM interval ≥24 hours increases the risk of cesarean section.
Keywords: PPROM, interval, mode of delivery, cesarean section
