Abstract

PT Varia Usaha Beton frequently experiences excess stock of sand raw materials, leading to losses due to damaged or lost materials. This study aims to address the problem of excess raw material inventory by integrating the Continuous Review System method and Arena simulation to predict inventory conditions and the required purchase frequency. The calculation results show an optimal order quantity of 141 tons, a reorder point of 130 tons, and a safety stock of 93 tons. Model validation through Arena simulation shows better stability compared to existing conditions, with a significant decrease in ordering frequency from 77 times to 22 times. Although there is a difference in frequency between manual calculations and simulations, the combination of these two methods is crucial as a preventive measure to visualize real conditions and provide recommendations for companies to prevent material accumulation in the field, thereby improving the company's operational efficiency.
