This study aims to determine the effect of social support and self-control on online gaming addiction in adolescents in the Sidoarjo region. This study used a quantitative approach with a non-experimental correlational survey method. The sample size was 364 adolescents aged 16-19 years who were active online gamers for 2-3 hours per day, selected using purposive sampling. The research instruments were a social support scale, a self-control scale, and an online gaming addiction scale, each of which had been tested for validity and reliability. In addition, the results of the regression test showed that social support and self-control simultaneously had a significant effect on online gaming addiction with a contribution of 90.2. This study emphasizes the important role of the social environment and self-control abilities in preventing online gaming addiction in adolescents.
