Quiet quitting has increasingly emerged among Generation Z employees as a response to work pressure and poor work-life balance. This study aims to examine the effect of job burnout and work-life balance on quiet quitting. Using a quantitative explanatory design, the population consisted of Generation Z employees in East Java, with 313 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using three Likert scales, namely quiet quitting, job burnout, and work-life balance, then analyzed using multiple linear regression. The simultaneous test results indicate that job burnout and work-life balance jointly have a significant effect on quiet quitting. These findings are expected to benefit Generation Z employees, support organizational policy development, and contribute to industrial and organizational psychology literature.
