Coping Stress of Orphaned Teenagers During a Pandemic

The background of this research is how the orphaned youth in this orphanage solve the problems that occur. Research applied using descriptive quantitative methods. The number of respondents is 100 orphaned youth. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling. Data analysis techniques in this study used descriptive statistics. The data analysis process was carried out using SPSS version 17.0. The results of the reliability test on the coping stress scale showed a reliability coefficient of 0.894. The results of data analysis as many as 25 male respondents using emotion focused coping with a percentage of 39%. A total of 30 female respondents used emotion focused coping with a percentage of 83%. Then as many as 39 male respondents using problem focused coping with a percentage of 61%. Meanwhile, female adolescent respondents used problem focused coping as many as 6 people with a percentage of 17%.
