This study aims to examine the relationship between self-efficacy and academic stress in students of the Psychology Study Program at Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo. This research method uses a quantitative approach method. The population in this study was 762 with a total sample of 238 students of the Psychology Study Program at Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo. This study used a simple random sampling technique in sampling. The self-efficacy and academic stress scales by using a psychological scale that uses a Likert scale. The results of the R-Square value in this study were 0.102 or 10.2%, thus proving that self-efficacy has an influence on academic stress. The results of the hypothesis test show rxy = -319 with a significance level of 0.000. This proves that the variables of self-efficacy and academic stress in students of the Psychology Study Program at Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo have a negative relationship.
