Global industrial development is becoming increasingly competitive, requiring companies to maintain product quality and consistency. UD. Tri Jaya Makmur a pickle leather processing company, faces a reject rate exceeding its 10% standard. This study aims to determine process control limits using Statistical Process Control identify root causes of defects through Fault Tree Analysis and propose improvement recommendations. A quantitative approach was applies using SPC and FTA methods. SPC was utilized to monitor and control the production process and identify defect types, while FTA was conducted to analyze the root causes of rejected products. The findings reveal that edge tearing is the most dominant defect, reaching 4,765 pieces. The causes are related to human and machine factors. Recommended improvements include enchancing operator competence, conducting regular machine maintenance and adjustments, and ensuring proper control of the pickling process in accordance with established quality standards and procedures.
