The Role of Teachers in Preventing Bullying Behavior in Elementary School Student

Bullying is a type of aggressive conduct that frequently targets weaker people verbally, physically, or psychologically. It can impede elementary school pupils' socioemotional growth and academic success. The objectives of this study are to: (1) determine the types and traits of bullying that take place in primary schools; (2) look into the causes of bullying; and (3) evaluate successful preventative measures based on descriptive qualitative data. SDN Buduran used observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and literature review techniques as part of a case study methodology. The role theory notion of Biddle and Thomas (1986) served as the foundation for data analysis, which used the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. According to the results, social dynamics, a culture of silence, and a lack of empathy all contribute to verbal bullying, which is the most common type. Teachers, schools, parents and character-building activities work together to implement the most successful preventative initiatives.
