High school student are in a developmental stage where self-control is becoming more important, yet behaviors such as tardiness, truancy, and rule breaking still appear. Self-awareness is an internal factor crucial to the development of self-control. The purpose of this study is to examine how self-awareness psychoeducation affects students’ self-control in class X–8 at Antartika High School in Sidoarjo. The study used a quantitative one-group pretest–posttest quasi-experimental design with 27 students selected through purposive sampling. The intervention included material delivery and reflective activities: My Daily Emotions, Self-Reflection, and Speak Up Challenge. Self-control was measured using the Brief Self-Control Scale before and after the intervention, and the data were analyzed using paired-sample t-tests and effect size calculations. The results showed a significant increase in self-control with a relatively large effect size, indicating improved emotion regulation, impulse resistance, and more adaptive and responsible daily positive social student regular behavior in the classroom.
