Abstract

Cyberbullying is intentional and repeated aggressive behavior conducted through digital media to harm or humiliate others. This study examined the effects of stress coping and social support on cyberbullying behavior among students at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Sidoarjo. Using a quantitative correlational design, 300 students were selected through cluster sampling. The instruments included a Stress Coping Scale based on Lazarus and Folkman’s theory, a Social Support Scale referring to House’s concept, and a Cyberbullying Behavior Scale developed from Smith et al. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings showed that stress coping had a negative and significant effect on cyberbullying behavior (p < 0.05). Additionally, stress coping and social support simultaneously had a significant effect, with R = 0.936 and R² = 0.876, indicating that both variables contributed 87.6% to cyberbullying behavior among students.
