Abstract

The increasing intensity of social media use among adolescents has heightened the risk of cyberbullying, particularly among vocational high school students. This study aimed to examine the effects of Big Five Personality and parenting styles on cyberbullying tendencies among vocational high school students. A quantitative approach with a correlational survey design was employed, involving 289 respondents selected through purposive sampling. The research instruments included scales measuring Big Five Personality, parenting styles, and cyberbullying behavior. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicated that Big Five Personality and parenting styles had a significant negative effect on cyberbullying tendencies, both partially and simultaneously. The adjusted R square value of 0.806 indicated that 80.6% of the variance in cyberbullying behavior could be explained by the two independent variables. These findings highlight the important role of individual personality traits and family environment in preventing cyberbullying among adolescents.
