Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of teachers in implementing digital literacy at Celep Sidoarjo State Elementary School. Descriptive qualitative methods were used using data collection techniques through researcher’s observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of teachers and upper grade students. The results showed that teachers played an active role in guiding students in the use of digital devices. However, students' abilities are still low in the hypertext navigation and critical evaluation of digital content by validating the information. This study concludes that the role of teachers is crucial in instilling an effective digital literacy culture in primary schools. Strengthening teacher competencies, improving digital infrastructure, and developing an adaptive curriculum are needed so that digital literacy can be optimally implemented in the primary learning environment.
