The organization of events serves as a platform for students to develop skills, communication, and teamwork. CommNightRun is one of the running events organized by students of Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo. Therefore, the research problem in this study is: how was the event management of CommNightRun 2024 in contributing to the success of the event, based on operational indicators by applying the five stages proposed by Goldblatt to produce a special event that is effective and efficient—namely Research, Design, Planning, Coordination, and Evaluation. Based on the chosen topic, this research is a qualitative descriptive study. The result of the CommNightRun event, held on December 21, 2024, took place at night in Kahuripan Nirwana Sidoarjo. The 5K race format attracted participants with the opportunity to win prizes. The success of the event can be assessed through community participation. Overall, the CommNightRun event was well-executed and successful
