Air pollution in Indonesia is mainly caused by motor vehicle exhaust emissions, which have reached more than 133 million units. These emissions contain carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrocarbons (HC) from incomplete combustion, both harmful to human health. One way to control emissions is by using a catalytic converter in the exhaust system. Conventional converters use precious metals such as platinum, palladium, and rhodium, but their high cost limits application. Therefore, this study analyzes the effectiveness of a honeycomb-shaped stainless steel catalytic converter in reducing CO and HC emissions from a Supra X125 motorcycle. Tests were conducted at engine speeds of 1500, 2500, and 3500 rpm, with and without the converter. The results showed lower CO and HC levels after installation, with the highest effectiveness at 3500 rpm, where CO dropped from 6.21% to 2.30% and HC decreased by 136 ppm, from 430 ppm to 361 ppm.
