This study aims to examine the influence of work environment and workload on employee performance with compensation as an intervening variable at PLTU Asam-Asam. The research employs a quantitative method with path analysis to explore causal relationships among variables. The sample consists of 181 employees, and data was collected through questionnaires. The findings reveal that the work environment and workload partially affect employee performance. Additionally, compensation plays a significant role as a mediator in enhancing performance. Simultaneously, work environment, workload, and compensation contribute 54.4% to employee performance improvement. This study emphasizes the importance of fostering a healthy work environment and providing fair compensation to enhance employee performance, particularly in high-risk industries such as power plants.
