Honey is a natural liquid produced by honey bees from nectar or other plant parts. Honey contains H2O2, acidic pH, osmolarity, polyphenols, flavonoids, and alkaloids that function as antibacterials for Apis dorsata honey against the growth of Escherichia coli. This study used a laboratory experimental method, with Apis dorsata honey concentrations of 20%; 60%; and 100%. Amoxicillin 25 µg as a positive control and aquadest as a negative control. The results obtained in this study were that Apis dorsata honey showed weak antibacterial properties at concentrations of 20% and 60%, while at a concentration of 100% it produced an average inhibition zone score in the moderate category. In the negative control there was no inhibition zone, while in the positive control, Amoxicillin produced a very strong inhibition zone. The conclusion of this study is that Apis dorsata wasps can inhibit the growth of E.coli with a weak to moderate reaction.
