Is it Effective Teaching English Using Animated videos to Improve Student Listening Skill?

This study investigates how well animated videos content can help X grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Bangil improve their English listening skills. The problem of time constraints in the classroom is addressed. With a pre-experimental one-group design, this study employs a quantitative approach. Students received a pre-test, a learning using animated videos, and a post-test. Normality tests and the paired sample t-test were used to assess the data. H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted since the results showed a significant change in the students' listening skills before and after the treatment (p-value of 0.000 (<0.05). According to these results, animated videos improve their listening skills. Additionally, the study shows how using audiovisual materials in English language instruction has a wider impact. The dynamic learning settings that animated videos promote encourage student participation, creativity, and critical thinking, highlighting their useful digital resources for teaching English in the modern era.
