Automatic Welding Glasses Opening and Closing System with Arduino Based Voice Control

Abstract

This study aims to design and develop an automatic welding goggles system that can be controlled using voice commands, based on Arduino. This system is designed to improve the safety of welders by minimizing the risk of excessive light exposure from the welding process. The main components used include Arduino Uno, SG90 servo motor, and Voice Recognition V3 sensor. When the command "on" or "off" is given, the system automatically adjusts the position of the welding goggles and activates or deactivates the cooling fan. Testing was carried out to evaluate the system's response to voice commands, response time, effective range of voice recognition, and system durability. The results show that the system has a command recognition accuracy rate of 100% with an average response time of 1.1 seconds, and a durability of up to 60 minutes without a decrease in performance.
