The development of automotive technology is increasingly rapid, especially in the selection of materials and piston production methods that affect engine performance. This study aims to analyze the differences in power and torque between casting and forged pistons on a 2007 Yamaha Jupiter Z motorcycle. The research method used is experimental, utilizing a dynotest to measure power and torque at various engine speeds (RPM). The variables include independent variables (piston type and RPM), dependent variables (power and torque), and control variables (motorcycle type and fuel). The results show that forged pistons produce greater power and torque, especially at high RPM, compared to casting and standard pistons. Forged pistons are also lighter, improving efficiency and overall engine performance. Casting pistons perform moderately, while standard pistons have the lowest performance. In conclusion, selecting the right piston type can significantly enhance motorcycle performance according to the user’s needs.
