Abstract

This research discusses the manufacturing process of a banana slicer machine with a capacity of 59 kg/hour. The design of this 59 kg/hour capacity banana slicer machine is intended to enhance the efficiency of the banana cutting process. This machine consists of several main components, namely the machine frame, which, in the 59 kg/hour capacity banana slicer machine, uses 40x40x50mm angle iron as a support for all components such as the electric motor, hopper/raw material input, slicing disc, and blades made of sharpened stainless steel. The transmission system utilizes a 1HP electric motor as a driver, which functions to provide power that is subsequently transmitted through pulleys and V-belts to the shaft to rotate the slicing disc. The manufacturing process of this banana slicer machine involves the stages of cutting, drilling, welding, turning, and milling. These process stages also involve determining the duration of each step, specifically in the process.
