Calcium Lactate Consumption with Preeclampsia Incidence in Pregnant Women

Preeclampsia is one of the causes of high morbidity and mortality in pregnant. This condition can also endanger the fetus, premature birth, developmental disorders, and even death. In the last three years, the incidence of preeclampsia at the Wonoayu Health Center has continued increase. Calcium supplementation plays in preventing preeclampsia. This study to analyze the relationship between compliance calcium lactate consumption and incidence preeclampsia in pregnant women. The method used is quantitative analytical research with a prospective observational cohort design. The study sample consisted 57 respondents selected using simple random sampling techniques from 66 total populations. The data obtained were analyzed using the Chi Square statistical test. The p-value test results = 0.004 (p <0.05). The conclusion of the study is that is a significant relationship between compliance calcium lactate consumption and incidence of preeclampsia. Suggestions Health workers are advised to improve education and monitor calcium lactate consumption in pregnant.
