Abstract

Currently, downstream research related to Trichoderma biological agents, especially isolates collected by the Microbiology and Technology Laboratory of Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo University, has begun. For this reason, it is necessary to test its effectiveness both as a biofertilizer because of its function of providing nutrients for plants, and as a biopesticide because of its protective role for plants. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of biological agents Trichoderma esperellum applied through soil (soil treatment) and spraying through the crown (foliar spray) and the possibility of their interaction on the vegetative growth of red chili plants of the Landung variety. Propagule suspensions that are ready to be sprayed onto the surface of the canopy have been homogenized to 105 CFU.mL-1 spore density through dilution with distilled water.
