Between Innovation and Protection: Finding Balance in Blockchain Regulations to Ensure Security and Fairness in Electronic Transactions

The research aims to provide recommendations for legal regulation and sepervision of blockchain technology as well as legal protection strategies for consumer rights ini a more general and comprehensive context. This research uses a normative juridicial methods with a statutory approach. The results obtained in this research show that blockchain is decentralized without a central authority to regulate and supervise electronic transactions. The results of this research show that there are no spesific regulation governing the comprehensive application of blockchain technology ini electronic transactions. The indonesian govenment has significant legal authority in handling disputes over electronic transactions ini the blockchain ecosystem. Based on ITE Law No. 11/2008, the governemnt is responsibke for ensuring that electronic transaction, including blockchain based ones, comply with the principles of legal certainty, prudence and good faith.
