Abstract

Childfree has become a trend in 21st-century society, referring to couples who choose not to have children in their marriage. Despite being controversial, this study explores Gita Savitri's views on Childfree and netizens' responses. It also examines how women are positioned in this discourse and how readers react in public spaces. While perspectives like deontological ethics and views on human nature oppose Childfree, utilitarianism and existentialism support it. This research focuses on these two perspectives. Secondary data is gathered from previous studies and reports. The findings suggest that Childfree is acceptable from the utilitarian and existentialist viewpoints, as it respects others' interests and aligns with human rights.
