This study analyzes communication in waste management in the waste bank community in Citra Sentosa Mandiri Housing, which was successfully formed due to the initiative of Mr. Agus Irwanto and Mr. Yanto, as community leaders. This program describes the application of group communication in innovation diffusion. A descriptive qualitative research method was used to analyze the communication process in the diffusion of innovation in the community. Data was collected through observation and interviews with community administrators and residents of Citra Sentosa Mandiri Housing. Data analysis uses Miles and Huberman's interactive model. The purpose of this study is to examine how communication strategies are used by activist communities in disseminating information about waste banks to the local community. The results of the study show that effective group communication can increase community participation and encourage the adoption of innovations, such as waste bank programs
