Abstract

This research aims to analyze the representation of Papuan culture in the Kuku Bima advertisement using a semiotic analysis approach. Through this research, researchers want to understand how Papuan culture is represented in advertisements, as well as how cultural symbols and signs are used in the context of these advertisements. The research method used is semiotic analysis, namely in-depth observation of the Kuku Bima advertisement. Based on this analysis, researchers will identify the semiotic elements used in advertising, such as images, words and music, and analyze the meaning contained therein. This research will reveal how the Kuku Bima advertisement represents Papuan culture, both through the use of traditional symbols, the use of language, and through story themes that depict the daily lives of Indonesian people. The research is entitled Representation of Papuan Culture in the Kuku Bima Advertisement.
