The Role of Village Government of Waste Management at Wedoroklurak Village

Abstract

 This research uses descriptive qualitative methods with an approach through observation and interviews, and uses both primary and secondary data types. The results show that, first, the Village Government as a facilitator has been in accordance with Edy Suhardono's theory, where Wedoroklurak Village residents who have difficulty in waste management have been provided facilities by the Village Government so that the community can manage their waste independently. Second, the role of the Village Government as a mobilizer is also in line with Edy Suhardono's theory, where the Village Government as a community driver has provided education and taught the community to participate in environmental conservation efforts, one of which is waste management. Third, the Village Government as a regulator, in this case, the Wedoroklurak Village Government, is less than optimal in its role as a regulator.
