Abstract

PT SPLN is a manufacturing company producing electrical panels, variable air volume (VAV) systems, fire dampers, and diffusers. Increasing product demand has led the company to implement overtime to meet production requirements. This policy has been followed by a decrease in employee attendance the next day of approximately 20%, equivalent to 3–5 employees out of 18 workers. This condition indicates potential increases in physical and psychological fatigue due to extended working hours. This study aims to assess the physical and mental workload of production operators and identify contributing factors. Mental workload was measured using the National Aeronautics and Space Administration Task Load Index (NASA-TLX), while physical workload was evaluated using the Cardiovascular Load (CVL) method. The results indicate that most production operators have CVL values exceeding 30%. Meanwhile, NASA-TLX analysis reveals that the performance dimension contributes the most to mental workload, accounting for 44.79%.
