The utilization of Google Translate and ChatGPT as supporting media in translating Arabic-language texts has become increasingly common in education and professional work. This study examines the use of both applications in translating Arabic documents and electronic correspondence at Yayasan Minhajus Sunnah. This qualitative case study employed observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings show that the differences between Google Translate and ChatGPT can be analyzed through three aspects: grammatical structure, context, and word order and lexical equivalence. Google Translate tends to retain lexical and structural elements more directly, while ChatGPT tends to reorganize expressions according to the target-language context and communicative function. Nevertheless, ChatGPT may produce inaccuracies and requires user verification. Staff responses indicate a preference for ChatGPT in understanding context and adjusting translation style, while Google Translate remains useful for identifying word-level meanings. Both applications function as supporting media rather than substitutes for the translator.
