Abstract

Introducing Indonesian national heroes to elementary school students is essential for fostering character and national identity. However, history learning often relies on textbooks and teacher-centered methods, limiting student engagement. This study developed an interactive Augmented Reality (AR) learning application for fourth-grade students based on the Merdeka Curriculum using the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC), which includes concept, design, material collecting, assembly, testing, and distribution. The Android-based application presents three-dimensional hero models with biographies and historical information. Functionality was evaluated through Black Box Testing, while user acceptance was measured using a User Acceptance Test (UAT) involving 10 fourth-grade students. The results showed that all application features functioned properly, and the UAT achieved an average score of 95.4%, indicating that the application is highly feasible and effective as an interactive medium for introducing Indonesian national heroes.
