Improving Fine Motor Skills in Children Aged 4–5 Years Through Paper-Folding Learning Media at PAUD Manbaul Hikam

This study aims to determine the improvement in fine motor skiils among children aged 4-5 years through the use of paper-folding as a learning medium at PAUD Manbaul Hikam. Based on observations conducted at Manbaul Hikam Early Childhood Education Center (PAUD Manbaul Hikam). A Classroom Action Research (CAR) framework based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model was applied in phases over two cycles, each of which included phases for preparation, action, observation, and reflection, in order to accomplish this goal. The result showed that there was an increase in the fine motor skills among the children. At the pre-cycle stage, the level of mastery was very low. It increased to 60% at Cycle I and 87% at Cycle II. There was an improvement in the skills of folding different shapes of the children and there was an improvement in the children's hand eye coordination, accuracy, concentration and independence.References
