Social inequality exists not only in everyday life but is also constructed and represented through film. The Platform 2 portrays inequality through a vertical prison metaphor, illustrating unequal resource distribution according to individuals’ positions within the social hierarchy. This study examines how social inequality is represented and constructed in the film using framing theory. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, with data collected through observations of scenes, dialogues, and visual elements. The analysis focuses on characters as representations of social actors within the prison structure. Data were analyzed using Erving Goffman’s framing theory, consisting of social frameworks, keying, and fabrication. The findings show that inequality is constructed through systems controlling resource access, reframing violence as rational behavior, and manipulating reality to normalize injustice. Thus, film represents social reality while shaping perspectives on inequality through framing and meaning construction.
