UD Restu Jaya is a manufacturing company producing plastic packaging products from polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) materials. Differences in task allocation among production lines result in varying levels of mental workload experienced by operators. Excessive mental workload may reduce operator concentration, accuracy, and operational efficiency. Therefore, this study aims to measure and analyze the mental workload of production operators using the Modified Cooper Harper (MCH) method. Primary data were obtained through direct observation, interviews, and questionnaires distributed to operators. The results show that blowing machine setup (7.63), blowing machine troubleshooting (7.94), and cutting machine setup (7.72) are categorized as overload. Most other production activities fall into the optimal load category, while machine startup, product weighing, and packing are classified as underload. Improvement recommendations focus on high-workload activities, especially setup and troubleshooting tasks, to reduce cognitive stress, optimize operator performance, and maintain production quality at UD Restu Jaya.
