This teaching implementation report describes the use of the Discovery Learning model for teaching properties of matter in fourth grade elementary school. The initial problem was that students often memorized the concepts of solid, liquid, and gas without direct observation. The learning scenario was designed for one meeting of 2 x 35 minutes and followed the stages of stimulation, problem statement, data collection, data processing, verification, and generalization. Students observed water, stones, balloons, and simple containers to identify the properties of objects through hands-on inquiry. Assessment used observation sheets, LKPD, and a rubric for concept understanding, participation, and conclusions. The implementation showed that students became more curious, active, and able to explain properties of matter based on evidence.
