Application of Biopesticide Derived from (Mimosa pudica L.) Weed Extract and Trichoderma-Based Biofertilizer on Kailan Mustard (Brassica oleracea var. alboglabra)

Abstract

The cultivation of kalian mustard (Brassica oleracea var. alboglabra) is often constrained by pest attacks and soil degradation resulting from the excessive use of synthetic chemicals. This study evaluated the effectiveness of integrating a botanical pesticide derived from Mimosa pudica L. extract with Trichoderma sp. biofertilizer to improve growth and yield. A two-factor randomized block design with four treatment combinations and six replications was conducted from May to June 2026 in Kepuh Kembeng Village, Peterongan. Results showed a significant interaction on plant height at 28 DAP, with 100 ml/L Mimosa extract combined with 30 g Trichoderma producing the tallest plants (23.55 cm). Independently, Mimosa extract significantly increased leaf number, leaf area, and fresh and dry weights (77.00 g and 72.170 g, respectively), while Trichoderma significantly enhanced leaf number and leaf area at several observation times. However, harvest index was not significantly affected by any treatment.
