Academic cheating remains a common issue in higher education and may undermine students' academic integrity. This study examines the effects of learning motivation, opportunity, and religiosity on academic cheating behavior, with Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a moderating variable. A quantitative approach was employed using probability sampling with the simple random sampling method. Data were collected from 97 Accounting students at four universities in East Java and analyzed using Partial Least Squares (PLS) with SmartPLS 3. The results show that learning motivation, opportunity, and religiosity have significant negative effects on academic cheating behavior. AI does not strengthen the relationship between learning motivation and academic cheating behavior but does strengthen the effects of opportunity and religiosity. These findings highlight the importance of students' internal factors and the responsible use of AI in promoting academic integrity in the digital era.
