Abstract

PT. XYZ is a company engaged in the meat processing industry, located in Sidoarjo. The high rate of product failures is due to the lack of systematic analysis of the factors causing defects, so a comprehensive quality control approach is required. The results of the FMEA analysis showed that white fat spots occupied the first priority with an RPN value of 281. There are four critical factors that cause white fat spots, including the human aspect (lack of training and visual inspection), machine (unavailability of temperature alarms and suboptimal cooling machines), method (absence of SOPs and product classification), and material (moisture contamination and substandard raw material specifications). The implementation of
these recommendations is expected to be able to reduce the level of rejected products, increase product quality
consistency, and meet consumer satisfaction standards in a sustainable manner.
