White turi flower (Sesbania grandiflora (L.) Pers.) has potential as a natural antioxidant because of its bioactive compounds. This study evaluated the effectiveness of a combination of white turi flower extract and vitamin C in protecting the kidneys of male Wistar rats (Rattus norvegicus) induced with a toxic dose of paracetamol. A randomized controlled laboratory experiment was conducted using 40 rats divided into eight groups. The extract was obtained by maceration with 70% ethanol. The treatments were administered at doses of 500:500, 500:1000, and 1000:500 mg/kg body weight. Antioxidant activity was assessed by measuring malondialdehyde (MDA) levels, while kidney function was evaluated through blood urea nitrogen (BUN), creatinine levels, and macroscopic observations. The results showed significant reductions in MDA, BUN, and creatinine levels (p < 0.05), indicating antioxidant and nephrotective effects against paracetamol-induced kidney damage.
