Performance Analysis of Pellet Making Machine as Raw Material for Animal Feed
Analisis Kinerja Mesin Pencetak Pellet Sebagai Bahan Baku Pakan Ternak

This study aims to analyze the performance of a pellet printing machine using rejected bread waste as livestock feed material by varying pulley size and machine rotational speed (RPM). The research method employed was an experimental approach using 8-inch and 12-inch pulleys on a 1 HP electric motor with an initial rotational speed of 2800 RPM. The parameters evaluated included production capacity, weight loss, and the quality of the pellets produced. The results showed that the 8-inch pulley produced a rotational speed of 1050 RPM with a production capacity of 16.4 kg/h and a weight loss of 1.15%. Meanwhile, the 12-inch pulley generated a rotational speed of 700 RPM with a higher production capacity of 29.5 kg/h and a lower weight loss of 1.1%. Pellets produced using the 12-inch pulley exhibited a smoother surface and better density. Based on the findings.
