Kidney damage induced by toxic doses of paracetamol is associated with oxidative stress, highlighting the need for compounds with antioxidant and nephroprotective properties. This study aimed to evaluate the nephroprotective effect of a combination of white turi bark extract (Sesbania grandiflora (L.) Pers.) and vitamin C in male white rats (Rattus norvegicus). The extract was prepared by maceration with 70% ethanol and contained alkaloids, flavonoids, phenolics, tannins, saponins, steroids, and triterpenoids. Thirty-two rats were divided into eight groups to evaluate clinical signs, body weight, malondialdehyde (MDA), Blood Urea Nitrogen (BUN), creatinine, and kidney morphology. Paracetamol (1500 mg/kgBW) increased MDA, BUN, and creatinine levels, whereas treatment reduced these parameters. The combination of white turi bark extract (1000 mg/kgBB) and vitamin C (500 mg/kgBB; P3, 2:1) showed the greatest nephroprotective effect, with significant differences (One-Way ANOVA, p < 0.05), indicating its potential as a natural nephroprotective agent.
